Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusuewicz will be staying in the parish from the 5th – 10th February. The following are the main points in his itinerary;
He will meet with priests, deacons and Religious in Driffiled on Thursday (6th) at 11:00 and share some insights with them at the life of the Church in Belarus and there will be time to explore ways of helping and supporting the church.
On Friday (7th) the Archbishop will join with Father David and concelebrate the First Friday Mass which includes the Anointing of the Sick. After Mass, the Archbishop will join the parish for a social gathering.
Saturday (8th) the Archbishop will be joined by Bishop Drainey for the celebration of Mass at 12noon at English Martyrs, York, which will be followed by a public lecture about the life of the Church in Belarus.
In the evening the Archbishop will celebrate the Vigil Mass of Sunday at 18:30 in Driffield.
The Archbishop will preside and preach at the 10:00 Mass on Sunday morning in Driffield.
